Tengberg discusses the challenges faced by private golf clubs in the midst of uncertain economic times, stating that many private clubs are having to completely rethink their business strategies in order to again become economically viable. He adds that while some private clubs are making minor adjustments to their operations in the hopes of a short-lived economic crisis, others are making fundamental program changes to adapt to what they perceive as the new economic standard.
