Benjamin J. Abrohams is a retired partner with Foley & Lardner. He has worked extensively in the real estate development area, representing both lenders and developers, and is experienced in professional sports facility development, hotel, shopping center, office building, and multi-family residential projects.

Benjamin represented the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club in connection with the development of Miller Park, its state-of-the-art Major League Baseball stadium, as well as the development of the team’s Arizona spring training facilities. He also represented the Green Bay Packers NFL team in connection with the various construction, leasing, and other real estate activities relating to the $295 million renovation of Lambeau Field, the home of the Green Bay Packers.

Benjamin represented Major League Baseball in connection with various matters, including the relocation of the Montreal Expos MLB team to Washington, D.C. and related real estate matters including the temporary utilization of RFK Stadium and the development of a new baseball stadium.

In addition, Benjamin has played a significant role in hundreds of airport-related transactions as counsel to a consultant for Milwaukee County in connection with land acquisition and noise mitigation programs at Mitchell International Airport. He also was actively involved in purchase and sale transactions, environmental issues, zoning, problem loan workouts and restructurings, and commercial lease transactions. He has substantial experience in representing clients before governmental bodies in connection with land use permits and approvals.

A native of Green Bay, he graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, with honors, and from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was an editor of its Law Review. Following law school graduation, Benjamin attended the London School of Economics on a fellowship grant.

In recognition of his achievements, Benjamin was Peer Review Rated as AV® Preeminent™, the highest performance rating in Martindale-Hubbell’s peer review rating system and was named to the 2006 and 2007 lists of Wisconsin Super Lawyers by Law & Politics Media, Inc. for his real estate work. He has also been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for over 25 years.
