Elvia R. Anguiano is an associate with Foley & Larder LLP, based in the firm's Chicago office, where she is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice.
Elvia joined Foley as a summer associate where she conducted interviews of both private and public criminal attorneys and wrote memos to help inform senior attorneys on the best possible routes or options that were available in different cases.
Prior to working at Foley, Elvia was a special education clinic legal intern where she attended and assisted with the Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, representing parents seeking special education and related services from their child’s school. She also assisted in preparing requests for IEP meetings, mediations, due process hearings and complaints for attorneys’ fees.
Elvia also obtained experience as an intern at local non-profits assisting clients in completing applications for permanent residency and visas, performing research to determine probability of influencing future local elections, interviewing and training future interns.
