Jesse L. Beringer is an associate and litigation lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. She is a member of the Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Antitrust, Distribution & Franchise, and Government Enforcement Defense & Investigations Practices. Jesse’s practice involves representing clients in a wide array of complex litigation matters in a number of areas, including antitrust, class action defense, contract disputes, False Claims Act defense, government administrative proceedings, and internal investigations. She also has experience assisting clients with issues related to mergers and acquisitions, including preparation of Hart-Scott-Rodino premerger notification filings, as well as filings before the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (“CFIUS”).
Broadly, Jesse represents clients in a variety of business litigation before state and federal courts, as well as arbitration panels.
Prior to joining Foley, Jesse worked as a summer associate with Foley in 2012. She also held the position of judicial intern to the Honorable Chief Judge Charles N. Clevert, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin during the summer of 2011. Jesse also worked as an intern for members of the House of Representatives both in district offices and on Capitol Hill, intermittently between 2008 and 2010.
Jesse received her J.D., summa cum laude, from Marquette University Law School in 2013. She was a member of the Marquette University Law Review between 2011 and 2012 and was comment editor for 2012-2013 (Volume 96). She graduated, summa cum laude, from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities where she majored in political science (B.A., 2010).

Jesse is licensed to practice law in Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Wisconsin, as well as before the U.S. Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia and Wisconsin.
Additionally, Jesse is a member of the Young Lawyers Conference of the Virginia State Bar and since 2016 has co-chaired the Professional Development Conference in Washington, D.C., on behalf of the Young Lawyer’s Conference. She is also a member of the American Bar Association.
Publications and Presentations
In 2017, Jesse received a Significant Service Award from the Young Lawyers Conference of the Virginia State Bar for her service to the bar and the public in her role as a co-chair for the conference’s annual Professional Development Conference in Washington, D.C.
In 2016, Jesse received a certificate of commendation from Wisconsin Lawyer for her article “Out of Sight, Not Out of Mind: Deposition Ethics and Best Practices.”
