Trevor L Currie

Senior Counsel


Trevor Currie is a senior counsel and business lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. He represents clients in a broad range of general corporate law and transactional matters, with a focus on venture capital financings, commercial transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. He is a member of the firm’s Transactions Practice.  

Prior to joining Foley, Trevor was an associate in the Milwaukee office of a national law firm. During his tenure, he represented companies in a variety of corporate, commercial finance, and securities transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, venture financings,  private placements, loan originations and modifications and compliance with securities regulations.

Before beginning his career as an attorney, Trevor was a staff accountant for Loyola University Chicago’s Sponsored Program Accounting Department, where he processed and managed state and federal grants received by the university.

Representative Matters

  • Represented Zebra Technologies (NASDAQ: ZBRA) in its acquisition of Profitect Inc.
  • Represented CUNA Mutual Group in its acquisition of Compliance Systems Inc.
  • Represented Club Automation in its sale to Daxko
  • Advise venture capital firms, strategic investors, family offices and high net worth individuals and investment groups in private placement activities, including preferred stock and debt financing in technology and life science companies
  • Counsel early-stage companies as to corporate structure, technology protection and transactional matter


Trevor earned his law degree from Notre Dame Law School (J.D., 2014), where he served as a senior articles editor for the Journal of International and Comparative Law. He received his bachelor’s degree from Loyola University Chicago (B.B.A., magna cum laude, 2011), with a major in accounting and a minor in economics.
