Stephen C. DeGuire



Stephen (Steve) DeGuire is an intellectual property associate at Foley & Lardner LLP, and a member of the firm's Electronics Practice.

Prior to completing his legal education, Steve served as an active duty officer in both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force. He earned designations as a Naval Flight Officer, Intelligence Officer, Flight Instructor, Aviation Safety Officer, Air Force Combat Systems Officer, and Deputy Group Commander before retiring from the U.S. Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel. Between two extended periods of service, he worked in the aerospace and defense industry with leadership roles in program management, business development, technology development, and sales for companies ranging in size from Fortune 500 corporations to start-ups. Steve has more than 25 years of experience in aircraft systems, satellite systems, maritime systems, secure networking, and cybersecurity and was selected as a contracting officer technical representative for multiple advanced technology acquisitions.
