Richard A. DuRose is a retired partner of Foley & Lardner LLP’s Orlando office, where he was a member of the firm’s Litigation Department (Labor and Employment Practice Group). He has been certified as a specialist in employment and labor law by The Florida Bar.

Richard is a charter member of the Academy of Florida Management Attorneys. He is also a member of the American Employment Law Council, the Society of Human Resource Management, and the Industrial Relations Research Association. In addition, Richard is a member of the Employment and Labor Section and the Entertainment and Sports Committee of The Florida Bar and the American Bar Association, for which he is also a member of the Committee on Occupational Safety and Health.

Richard received both his J.D. and B.A. degrees from Ohio State University in 1962 and 1959, respectively, where he was case note editor of the Ohio State Law Journal. He was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1962 and The Florida Bar in 1988, and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Sixth and Eleventh Circuits. He is listed in Who’s Who in American Law.

After retirement Richard became senior labor attorney for the Florida Power & Light Company in Juno Beach, Florida.
