Marilyn A. Gerena is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP. She is a member of the firm’s Transactions Practice.
Marilyn’s corporate practice includes assisting corporate clients with mergers and acquisitions, as well as aiding start-ups on various governance and operational matters.
Before joining Foley, Marilyn worked at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in Orlando, Florida. Marilyn began her career at Lockheed Martin as a master planning student intern where she collaborated with engineers and finance personnel to ensure the successful execution of several multi-million-dollar development contracts between Lockheed Martin and the U.S. government. Upon graduating from the University of Central Florida with her M.B.A., Marilyn was hired as a subcontract administrator for Lockheed Martin where she assisted the Lockheed Martin legal team in negotiating and executing subcontracts with several of Lockheed Martin’s largest subcontractors.
Prior to her time at Lockheed Martin, Marilyn worked as a legal assistant for a law firm in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Marilyn earned her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center (J.D., 2018), and is a graduate of the University of Central Florida, where she received a master’s degree in business administration (M.B.A., 2012), and a bachelor of science degree in general business administration, with a minor in legal studies (B.S., magna cum laude, 2010).
Marilyn is admitted to practice law in Florida.
