Shinjin (Ethan) Harris is a Patent Engineer in the Intellectual Property Department with Foley & Lardner LLP. Ethan is based in the firm’s Salt Lake City office where he is a member of the Electronics Practice Group.

Prior to joining Foley, Ethan assisted global corporations with their patent portfolios, including prosecution in a variety of computer-related arts, such as 5G, Wi-Fi, and computer data storage technologies. Since joining Foley, he has expanded his clientele to include startups and his technological focus to include Artificial Intelligence, software applications, VR/AR, autonomous vehicles, assembly line apparatuses, electronic apparatuses of various use and design, and more.

Prior to joining the legal industry, Ethan gained work experience in planning electrical systems for high rises, hospitals, and other commercial buildings as well as full-stack software development for various companies as he progressed towards a B.S. in Computer Engineering.
