Overview
Erin Hoffert is a senior counsel with Foley & Lardner LLP. She is based in the firm’s Washington, DC office and is a member of the Transactions Practice. Erin’s corporate transactional practice focuses on complex mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and equity financings and general corporate governance matters across a range of sectors including defense, government services, cybersecurity, data analytics, enterprise software, fintech, hospitality and life sciences.
Erin routinely leads both buy-side and sell-side M&A deals for public and private companies. Erin has advised numerous large serial acquirers who use M&A as a growth strategy, as well as emerging companies throughout every stage of the corporate lifecycle: from counseling start-ups on initial formation and seed funding, to late-stage equity investments, to exit transactions. She works with companies, entrepreneurs and investors on various equity transactions including private equity and venture capital financings, warrant and promissory note issuances, tender offers and stock repurchases. For her emerging company clients, Erin also acts as a trusted advisor and a go-to resource on corporate governance matters and other strategic transactions.
Prior to joining Foley, Erin was a senior corporate associate at an international corporate law firm.
