Blake Holt is an associate and intellectual property lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. His practice focuses on patent prosecution and intellectual property litigation for electrical technology clients. Mr. Holt has 15 years of electrical engineering experience in the telecommunication industry.
Prior to joining Foley and while in law school, Mr. Holt worked as a staff RF analog product engineer at Qualcomm in the Qualcomm CDMA Technologies (QCT), RF Analog Group. His experience includes leading product and test engineering for seven generations of Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits (RFIC), supporting GSM (EDGE), WCDMA (HSPA+), CDMA (A/B), TD-SCDMA, and LTE technologies with carrier aggregation, along with Qualcomm’s first production Wireless LAN (WLAN) RFIC, first FM RFIC, and multiple Bluetooth (BT) System-On-Chip RFICs. Mr. Holt also served as a key technical resource for the portfolio managing attorney, acting as a voting member on one of Qualcomm’s Patent Review Boards.
Mr. Holt’s experience also includes working as a senior bluetooth product engineer at RFMD in the Operations Division and as an application/software/validation engineer with Vitesse Semiconductor Corporation in the Digital Enterprise Division.
Mr. Holt earned his law degree, cum laude, from the University of San Diego School of Law (J.D., 2013). He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from California State University (B.S., 2001).
