Lauren D. Kerr is a special counsel with Foley & Lardner LLP where she is a member of the Litigation Department and Construction Practice.
Prior to Foley, she gained significant experience in civil litigation involving negligence defense and sovereign immunity, as well as handling several appellate matters.
Professional and Community Involvement
Lauren sits on the Board of Directors for the Pinellas County Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers. She is member of the Junior League of Clearwater-Dunedin and also enjoys volunteering her time as a “big sister” with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Lauren is the author of the published article “Navigating Proposals for Settlement: Releases, Extensions of Time, and Motions to Strike,” Trial Advocate Quarterly (Sept. 2018).
Lauren received her law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she was the president of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society. In this position, she received the award of University of Florida Student Officer of the Year.
Lauren received her undergraduate education at South Dakota State University, where she was a Division I Equestrian Athlete. She earned All-American Honors, honorable mention, for her varsity efforts.
Lauren is admitted to practice in Ohio, Florida, and the United States Supreme Court. She is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals 11th Circuit.
