Evan Linderman is an associate with Foley & Larder LLP. He is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice.
Before pursuing a legal career, Evan was an intellectual property manager and R&D engineer at Becton Dickinson. His IP management experience includes monitoring the competitive IP landscape and providing strategic guidance, identifying strategic areas for future IP filings, evaluating outside opportunities, facilitating the administrative IP process, and working with product development teams to evaluate and file invention records.
Evan’s engineering experience includes leading R&D teams to design and launch new products in the medical device sector. His efforts led to innovative advancements in both the minimally invasive spine surgery and soft tissue biopsy markets. Evan’s inventions have resulted in 25 granted US patents.
Evan received his law degree from The John Marshall Law School (J.D., magna cum laude, 2018). He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Master of Science in biomechanical engineering from Stanford University. Evan also earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois.
Evan is admitted to practice law in Illinois. He is also registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
