Overview

Jennifer Malcore is a Director of Public Affairs with Foley and Lardner, LLP, advocating for clients focused on Wisconsin’s health care, criminal justice, and environmental policy initiatives. With more than 10 years of political experience with Wisconsin lawmakers and administrators, Jennifer successfully develops and advances policies and political strategies related to her client’s needs.

Jennifer lives in Oregon, Wisconsin, with her husband and two children.

Before joining Foley, Jennifer served as Assistant Deputy Secretary for the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. In this role, she played an integral part in furthering comprehensive health care initiatives including supporting constituents across the state.

Jennifer also served in the Wisconsin State Legislature, staffing several caucus leaders over the course of eight years. In 2011, Jennifer worked as Communications Director for then-State Representative Joan Ballweg, Caucus Chair. In years following, she served as Chief of Staff for State Representative John Nygren, Assembly Co-Chair of the budget-writing Joint Committee on Finance (JFC). During her time in Rep. Nygren’s office, she led his policy initiatives comprising the HOPE Agenda (Heroin, Opioid Prevention and Education), paving the way for innovative reforms aimed at fighting prescription drug and opioid abuse and addiction statewide.

Preceding her time in the legislature, Jennifer dedicated 10 years of her career to the Brown County Sheriff’s Department, working in the Jail Division in both an administrative and non-managerial capacity.

Education

Jennifer graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication.

Community Involvement

Jennifer serves on the board of Wisconsin Free and Charitable Clinics and is a member and volunteer of Wisconsin Women in Government.
