Overview

Alyssa Markenson is an associate and litigation lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. Alyssa is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice. She has experience assisting Foley’s clients in a wide array of complex litigation matters and internal investigations.

Prior to Foley, Alyssa was an associate with a global law firm where she conducted multiple internal investigations relating to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, money laundering, and auditor independence rules.

She represented clients in connection with investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. She also represented clients against whistleblower claims under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and in employment discrimination cases. Alyssa served as a judicial extern for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, where she assisted in the drafting of an opinion related to civil rights, and researched and drafted bench memoranda related to subject matter jurisdiction and contract law.
