Laura Mikeworth is an associate and real estate lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. As a member of the firm’s Real Estate Practice, Laura represents clients in a variety of complex real estate matters, including purchase and sales, development, financing, leasing, and construction. She also has experience on real estate aspects of wind, solar, biomass, and other energy projects, including working on site control documents, and on title, survey, and other development and permitting matters.
Prior to joining Foley, Laura served as a judicial intern for Judge J.P. Stadtmueller of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. During law school, she was a research assistant to Associate Dean and Professor Matthew Parlow. Laura was also a summer associate in the firm’s Milwaukee office in 2016.

Education
Laura graduated first in her class from Marquette University Law School (J.D., summa cum laude, 2017), where she was an articles editor of the Marquette Law Review and earned CALI awards for achieving the highest grade in five of her classes. She earned her bachelor’s degree in international affairs also from Marquette University (B.A., magna cum laude, 2014).
Community Engagement
Laura serves as a legal volunteer at Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic, where she assists clients in a variety of civil matters, including landlord tenant disputes and small claims issues.
