Laura Moedano

Associate

Laura Moedano is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP, and she is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office. She is a member of the Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice.

Laura interned for The Honorable Tony M. Davis, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Texas during law school. She was also a legal and policy aide for Nathan Johnson, Texas State Senator, District 16, in Austin, Texas, during the 86th Legislative Session. In this role, Laura assisted with several Health and Human Services Committee matters, met with constituents and interest groups, and drafted key research and legal documents. Laura also proposed a bill that became the Senator’s first bill to become law.

Laura was also a research assistant for William C. Powers Jr., Jamail Chair in Law, and Former President at The University of Texas, assisting with an early draft of Learning to Think Like a Lawyer. After graduating from law school and before beginning at Foley, Laura assisted John Deigh, Professor of Philosophy and Law at The University of Texas, with the completion of William C. Powers’ manuscript – posthumously published as “Sharpening the Legal Mind: How to Think Like a Lawyer.”
