Overview

Audrey Momanaee is an experienced trial and litigation lawyer working with clients on their most important and complex disputes. Audrey’s clients are in a variety of industries including the energy, oil and gas, construction, real estate, pipeline and chemical refining industries. Audrey’s practice is generally in the state and federal courts of Texas as well as arbitrations both domestic and international. Audrey focuses on matters involving business disputes, commercial claims, catastrophic property claims, construction defects and delays, and matters involving trade secret protection and litigation. She has also handled a number of internal investigations for clients in the oil and gas industry. Audrey is vice chair of the firm's Energy Industry Team and also serves on the firm's Pro Bono Committee.

In addition to her experience handling disputes and investigations, Audrey has counseled clients about allocating risk in agreements and is a regular speaker on the issue of contractual risk allocation and indemnities.

  • Represented construction and engineering company against joint venture partner in international arbitration pertaining to the construction of a solar power plant facility in India
  • Represented construction company against general contractor in international arbitration pertaining to the construction of a power plant facility in New Jersey
  • Represented construction company in dispute regarding post-closing indemnity obligations
  • Represented pipeline company in international arbitration involving a $240+ million claim against Indian pipe manufacturers for provision of defective large line pipe
  • Represented oilfield services company in defending release of escrow monies in excess of $2 million held back during purchase of a business
  • Represented deep-water drilling company in arbitration involving $10+ million claim by former executives
  • Represented specialty valve manufacturer in litigation involving theft of trade secrets claims
  • Defended client against the payout of millions of dollars to the plaintiff arising out of an alleged business partnership
  • Represented construction contractor in $2+ million indemnity claim arising out of purchase of a business
  • Represented oilfield services company in investigation of oil spill by the Deepwater Horizon
  • Represented oilfield services company in personal injury case involving claims over $1 million
  • Represented oilfield services company in catastrophic burn case involving claim in excess of $77 million
  • Represented oilfield services company in multi-million dollar death case
  • Represented exploration and production company and oilfield services company against personal injury claim in excess of $2 million
  • Represented chemical company in high-value patent infringement case related to the patent for a composition of plastic used in packaging
  • Represented software company in high-value patent infringement case related to the infringement of a voice recognition software patent
