Meaghan O'Connor is a land use planner with Foley & Lardner LLP, where she is a member of the Zoning and Land Use team within the Real Estate Practice at the firm’s Chicago office.
Meaghan brings keen insight into the planning process, having previously worked as an urban planning intern for Muse Community + Design and Chicago Loop Alliance. During this time, she provided research, data analysis, and graphic support, managed an initiative by coordinating stakeholders, as well as established a public-private partnership aimed to enliven an underperforming street.
Project management is an essential skill handled very efficiently by Meaghan, through establishing and monitoring key deadlines for each land use and zoning project to ensure adherence to city rules and regulations. She collaborates effectively with city personnel to maintain a smooth flow of official review and approval procedures. Additionally, her work for the city gives her an in-depth understanding of resources available to assist clients in zoning and land use matters.

Meaghan holds a master's degree in urban planning and policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago (M.U.P.P., 2017) with a concentration in spatial planning and design. Meaghan earned her bachelor’s degree in political science and criminal justice from Indiana University (B.A., 2015).
