James R. Ritter III



James “Jay” Ritter is an associate in the Business Law Department at Foley & Lardner LLP. He is based in the Jacksonville office where he is a member of the Transactions Practice Group.  

Before joining Foley, James was a legal intern for a firm in Fort Lauderdale. As a legal clerk, he researched different business entity structures to assist clients in organizing their businesses. During law school, James worked as a summer associate at Foley where he researched and drafted documents on the principals of environmental, social, governance (ESG). During law school, James also worked for a real estate development company in Gainesville. James has a background in Finance and Entrepreneurship.
