Albert B. Ryu



Albert Ryu is an associate in the Intellectual Property Department with Foley & Lardner LLP. Albert is based in the San Diego office where he is a member of the Electronics Practice Group.  

Albert previously was a patent agent at Foley. Before law school, Albert served as a patent agent at a law firm in Mountain View, California. Albert is experienced in several representative areas of technology such as semiconductors, communication networks, signal processing, and storage devices. He regularly prepares and prosecutes utility and design patent applications for a wide variety of technologies, including mechanical technology, electronic technology, and computer software. Albert has also drafted provisional and non-provisional patent applications. He has received two patent publications for the “Edge Combining Transmitter” and the “Non-Foster Active Impedance Circuit for Electrically Small Antennas.”

Before starting law school, Albert worked for several years as an engineer in California where he gained experience in designing circuit components and RF transmitter and receivers.
