Caleb Schmitt is a patent agent with Foley & Lardner LLP. He is a member of the firm’s Electronics Practice.
Prior to joining Foley, Caleb worked as an electrical engineer in the Leonardo DRS Naval Power Systems facility, where he helped to develop and integrate new motor drives and controls for the U.S. Navy's nuclear submarine program.
Caleb also worked with a small team to develop, test, and manufacture charging systems for Harley Davidson touring motorcycles. Caleb’s work with Harley Davidson included the development and testing of a charging system for a new generation of Harley engine, the Milwaukee-Eight.

Caleb has experience in power electronics, circuits, embedded systems, controls, hardware, and optics (including fiber optics and lasers).
Caleb is registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark office.
As a soldier in the Wisconsin Army National Guard, Caleb served in Afghanistan in support of Operation Inherent Resolve and Operation Spartan Shield.
