Kelly C. Spicher is a special counsel and business lawyer in the San Diego office of Foley & Lardner LLP. Her practice focuses on real estate matters undertaken by national and international businesses, developers, REITs, and financial institutions. Ms. Spicher is a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Environmental Regulation Practices, as well as the Hospitality & Leisure Industry Team.
Ms. Spicher has substantial experience in a wide array of real estate matters and transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, commercial leasing, development projects, property management and joint ventures. She also has extensive experience in all aspects of the due diligence process, including the review and analysis of title and survey matters, land use entitlements, zoning, operating contracts and leases.
Ms. Spicher has also developed specialized experience with respect to real estate matters relating to the hospitality, resort and golf industry, including the negotiation, preparation and analysis of purchase agreements, development agreements, declarations, cost sharing agreements, easements, club membership documents and financing documents.
Ms. Spicher earned a B.A. in journalism (political science concentration), with high honors, from Indiana University and received her J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2001. She was invited to join the Florida chapter of the Order of the Coif and has received the University of Florida's Book Award for both legal research and writing, and land use and planning.
