Overview

Dr. Moreshwar “Moru” Vaze, J.D., Ph.D., is an associate and intellectual property lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP.  He is a member of the Chemical, Biotechnology & Pharmaceutical Practice. Moreshwar has a wide experience in patent drafting, prosecution, and management of international patent portfolios.  He also has experience in due diligence (e.g. FTO analyses, opinion work and IP diligence in support of M&A transactions), and supporting litigation (e.g. scientific support, helping with depositions, preparing claim charts, validity/ invalidity contentions). 

In addition to a PhD in biochemistry, Moreshwar has performed postdoctoral research in genetics and molecular biology at Brandeis University. Moreshwar has also worked for about a decade as a scientist in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry in small molecule oncology drug discovery, and RNAi biologic drug discovery.
