Nicole Wang is a patent engineer with Foley & Lardner LLP. Nicole is located in the firm’s Chicago office where she is a member of the Mechanical and Electromechanical Practice.
In the summer of 2019, Nicole was a summer patent engineer at Foley. She prepared utility patent applications and office action responses in the Mechanical and Electromechanical Technology Practice and worked with pro-bono clients and large clients in various fields of technology, such as medical devices, mechanical applicators and blockchain mechanisms.
Prior to Foley, Nicole interned as a materials engineer at The Dow Chemical Company. In her position, Nicole performed failure analysis and laboratory testing of equipment from chemical plants. She also has previous research experience at the University of Michigan in investigating the mechanical properties of hydrogels (Mehta Lab) and nanopowders in battery applications (Laine Lab).
