Robert Ward is an associate and intellectual property lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. He focuses his practice on patent and technology counseling. He regularly works with clients to develop their intellectual property portfolios and conduct investor due diligence often involving patentability, freedom-to-operate and patent validity analyses. Robert has experience in a broad range of technologies in the medical device sector as well with electromechanical systems and software.
In addition to protecting intellectual property rights, Robert has advised both emerging and established companies on various intellectual property and business transactions.
Robert earned his law degree at the University of Notre Dame Law School. He earned his master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Loyola Marymount University and his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Southern California.
Robert is admitted to practice in California and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
