Jon M. Wilson is a retired partner with Foley & Lardner LLP and was a member of the firm’s Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Intellectual Property Litigation and Construction Practices. He previously served on the firm’s management committee and as chair of the Litigation Department and the formerly named General Commercial Litigation Practice.
Mr. Wilson is a general commercial litigator who has tried complex matters relating to contracts, construction, eminent domain and land use, antitrust, malpractice, and employment law. An experienced litigator, Mr. Wilson has tried more than 80 matters. During the past 10 years, he has been lead trial counsel in more than 30 adversary proceedings, over half of which have been jury trials. These cases involved such diverse clients as the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, the City of Orlando, Universal Studios, Hard Rock Cafe, Federal Construction Company, Trafalger Construction Company, and the 535 Land Trust. The amount in controversy in all of these cases was significant.
Mr. Wilson has developed the ability to quickly learn new technologies and works with experts on complicated and sophisticated matters. His trial strengths include the ability to effectively present novel matters in an easily understood and convincing manner.
Mr. Wilson represented clients on a national basis and is a member of the California Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association, and The American Board of Trial Advocates. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and all courts within the states of California and Florida.

He received his bachelor's degree from Wake Forest University in 1967 and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin in 1971 where he was a member of Law Review.
