Overview

Hao Wu is a patent agent with Foley & Lardner LLP in the Silicon Valley Office, and a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Department and the Chemical, Biotech & Pharmaceutical Practice. 

Hao focuses her practice on drafting and prosecuting domestic and international patents in the biotechnology and pharmaceuticals industries. With hands-on experience in various aspects of biology, including molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, immunology, neuroscience, oncology, Hao has worked on inventions spanning a broad range of technologies, for example, biologics, antibodies, biomarkers, diagnostics, cell therapy, gene therapy, and sequencing. 

Prior to Foley, Hao was a technical specialist at an IP boutique law firm where she assisted research institutions and biotech companies with patent prosecution related matters. While performing her doctoral research, she also interned at the Office of Technology and Business Development at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, now known as Rutgers Office of Technology Commercialization.
