Waltz Quoted on Passage of House Bill Aimed at Advance and Accelerated Loan Repayment

Partner Judy Waltz was quoted in a Home Health Care News article, “‘Real Accommodations for Providers’: House Bill Takes Aim at Advance and Accelerated Loan Repayment,” about a congressional funding bill aimed at lessening the burden associated with paying back advance and accelerated payments made available to financially support Medicare providers amid the COVID-19 public health emergency.

Waltz said the bill “makes real accommodations for providers,” who had received “really necessary relief” through the advance and accelerated payment program. “But then they started realizing that the day of reckoning was coming and that, suddenly, they were going to go from getting full payment on their claims to getting no payment on their claims until that amount was paid back,” she said.
