Foley was lead deal counsel for Wynnchurch Capital, Comvest Partners in their sale of U.S. Pipe, a national manufacturer of a broad line of ductile iron pipe products, to Forterra Building Products. As part of the deal, U.S. Pipe will continue to operate as a wholly owned subsidiary and will maintain its name and headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama.
Previously, Foley represented Wynnchurch Capital alongside Comvest in their initial acquisition of U.S. Pipe from Mueller Water Products in April 2012. Following the initial acquisition, the Foley team continued to represent U.S. Pipe through several add-on acquisitions and financing transactions, including the acquisitions of Griffin Pipe, Custom Fab, Metal Fab, Fab Pipe and Troy Foundry.
