Kenneth R. Glaser
Partner/Retired
Kenneth (Ken) Glaser has dedicated his 50-plus-year career as an intellectual property lawyer to guiding American and foreign companies in the protection and enforcement of their global patent, trademark, and intellectual property, as well as protecting these companies from infringement of others’ intellectual property. Having served literally hundreds of clients, his clients seek to take advantage of Ken’s multi-faceted career in right to use clearances and design-arounds to avoid third party infringement, while serving as IP litigation counsel or generalized advice regarding all intellectual property matters. Ken Glaser had done it all, as evidenced by the continuing influx of new clients and referrals.
Major companies in the United States, Canada and abroad hire Ken to keep them out of IP litigation (litigation avoidance, deemed by Ken, to be the most important service he can provide a client), move company IP into Mexico and Europe, centralize IP asset handling and management of acquired companies’ portfolios, handle the prosecution and procurement of patent and trademark inventory, and ensure trademark protection.
Clients, as well as other lawyers, are drawn to Ken because of his 24/7 commitment to helping and advising them and a work ethic he enthusiastically passes on to everyone else on Foley’s IP team. Longtime clients value that he embraces their goals as his own. Ken is devoted to mentoring younger lawyers, sharing stories about respect, passion for the client relationship and always doing the right thing.
