Overview

Kate M. Kros is a public affairs advisor with Foley & Lardner LLP and supports the firm’s Government Solutions Practice Group with research, communications, advocacy, legislative and regulatory tracking, and compliance work, while acting as the Foley PAC assistant treasurer. Kate has a decade of experience supporting nonprofit organizations with federal grassroots advocacy, development and event planning.

Prior to joining Foley, Kate worked at Soapbox Consulting for eight years and led successful advocacy days for over 80 non-profit organizations, trade associations and corporations on an annual or biannual basis. Just a few such organizations include the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, American College of OBGYNs, Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, American Academy of Neurology, College of American Pathologists, American Nurses Association, National Down Syndrome Society, Fragile X, American Physical Therapy Association and the Pediatric Hydrocephalus Foundation. She scheduled hundreds of bipartisan, bicameral meetings yearly with every member of Congress, and trained thousands of advocates on their issues, logistics and how to have a successful meeting with a member of Congress.

Kate is a member of the Marquette University Klingler College of Arts & Sciences Leadership Council, an exclusive advisory board run by the Dean of the College.  She is also a member of The Wisconsin Group.  From 2016 through 2021, Kate was the President of the Marquette Alumni Club of Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia, where she represented over 2,000 alumni in the second largest alumni club operated through Marquette University. She hosted regular events at the Les Aspin Center for Government, and engaged alumni through a networking program she created.  From 2017 to 2022, Kate was an inaugural member of Marquette’s Young Alumni Leadership Council, where she advocated the needs of young alumni to the university.  Kate continues to volunteer at Catholic Charities regularly and has advocated on their behalf to various stakeholders in the community.
