Foley has a highly experienced, national practice focused on the various Buy America requirements — the federal domestic content laws governing transportation projects at the state and local levels using federal transportation funding. We assist project sponsors, prime contractors, and rolling stock manufacturers and suppliers to comply with the law and applicable DOT regulations. For rolling stock procurements, we employ a well-established analysis of domestic content that permits us to assess Buy America compliance status efficiently and, where necessary, to advise steps necessary to attain compliance.
