We regularly represent companies in privacy-related litigation matters, such as the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA), Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA), Stored Communications Act (SCA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), invasion of privacy claims, and other consumer protection-related claims.

We also represent clients in government agency investigations including both state and federal agencies. We advise clients in litigation regarding compliance with privacy policies as well as alleged breaches of federal privacy laws including HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act),HITECH (Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health) FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act), COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act), and GLBA (Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act), ECPA, and TCPA.

In addition, we litigate on behalf of clients regarding alleged breaches of state privacy laws and regulations including laws concerning use of medical or genetic information; use of recordings; use of financial information; use of electronically stored information; and use of consumer reporting data.
