Ferrante, a Partner in the firm’s Telemedicine Industry Team and Digital Health Group will be a presenter for the Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association’s webinar titled: “Telehealth Licensure, Interstate Practice, and Insurer Policies: What your Hospital Needs to Know” on September 15^th.

One of telemedicine’s biggest regulatory challenges is licensure. Health systems and providers must meet the differing requirements of each state in which they are diagnosing or treating patients. Obtaining the appropriate licenses is a costly and burdensome process.

This session will provide guidance to healthcare facilities and practitioners on the requirements and exceptions for telemedicine licensing. The presentation will offer best practices for overcoming licensing challenges, identify other considerations when using telemedicine, and discuss what providers should do to comply with the requirements.
