ABA Health Law Section: 24th Annual Emerging Issues in Healthcare Law Conference

Foley Partner Emily Weber will be speaking at the ABA’s Health Law Section’s 24^th Annual Emerging Issues in Healthcare Law Conference on Thursday, March 9^th. Ms. Weber’s panel is titled “Perils, Pitfalls and Perspectives on PE Investment in Health Care”.

This session will examine the impact of private equity ‘s involvement in health care from how care is provided, effect on billing, and regulatory risks. Panelists will discuss best practices on how to structure and design the arrangements and how to minimize ethical, regulatory and clinical risks. They will examine recent enforcement trends and areas of government focus. We will explore how PE affects compensation and billing, and will focus on two specific areas in examples: behavioral health and orthopedics.
