This is the second consecutive year these four attorneys have been included in the highly revered guide. In addition, the firm was recognized in two practice areas: Corporate/M&A – Latin America-wide and Intellectual Property: Trademark, Copyright & Trade Secrets – USA.
- Francisco Cerezo was recognized for leading the firm’s Latin America practice, where he earns particular recognition from market sources for his Puerto Rican practice.
- Michael Kaminski was recognized for his extensive knowledge of Japanese IP law and matters pertaining to the chemical, pharmaceutical and chemical engineering arenas.
- Stephen Maebius was recognized for his widespread expertise of IP matters in Japan, including patent prosecution, management, litigation and re-examinations.
- John Murphy was recognized for his proficiency of banking and finance matters in Latin America and as an foreign expert in the United States.
To compile its annual list, Chambers and Partners conducted thousands of interviews with attorneys and their clients within a wide range of industries. Interview participants from more than 180 countries were asked to recommend attorneys and firms they use most often for top-tier legal work.
