Foley & Lardner LLP Partner Patrick Daugherty was interviewed on a live CoinDesk TV episode of “All About Bitcoin” and discussed the auctioning of crypto lender Voyager’s remaining assets. In the segment, “Voyager Bankruptcy Auction Begins; Celsius CEO Reportedly Mulls Crypto Custody Pivot,” Daugherty said “there is an awful lot of public interest in this case” and acknowledged that there are many “individuals who lost their life savings in some cases in this bankruptcy.”
As the case is ongoing, Daugherty noted that it is “far too early to tell” what the future of Voyager may hold. However, as a Chapter 11, “the debtor believes that the business can be sustained…so [one] would think there is hope for a successful outcome.”
