The article discussed various methods for increasing access to health care via telemedicine, especially in states where facilities or clinics may be several hours away. Given the sensitivities of certain medications, Lacktman explained how and why some states are banning prescribing drugs like benzodiazepines via telepsychiatry, as they contain controlled substances.
