Partner Nathaniel Lacktman was quoted in a Bloomberg BNA article, “Employers Exploring New Health-Care Options,” on August 17, 2016. The article discussed the innovative strategies employers are exploring for delivery and funding of health-care benefits, including telemedicine. Lacktman explained how telemedicine can improve access and convenience, and lower costs for employers. Another incentive for employers is that telemedicine can reduce absenteeism to maximize employee productivity. Lacktman said, “the most common use of telehealth services is as an alternative for employees who otherwise would choose to go to urgent care facilities, walk-in clinics or primary care physicians for acute medical issues.”
