Mark Grundvig and Michael Bennett Publish on NASCAR Antitrust Suit

The authors explore the antitrust lawsuit filed by a group of team owners which alleges NASCAR holds a monopoly over elite stock car racing, describing the suit’s basis, what to watch for as litigation proceeds, and the potential reverberations of the case across the sporting world.

“For now, the parties will continue to litigate the preliminary injunction and exchange motions,” the authors conclude. “However, the resolution of this case — whether by settlement or judicial opinion — could be monumental not only for the parties, but also the world of sport generally, as revenue sharing disputes take center stage.
