Rebecca Bradley is the director of professional development at Foley & Lardner LLP. In her role, Rebecca leads the firm’s professional development efforts, including attorney orientation, integration, training and continuing legal education, feedback and mentoring.

Prior to her role as director of professional development, Rebecca served as the firm’s director of legal recruiting for six years, where she led Foley’s firm-wide entry-level and lateral recruiting initiatives. Before that, Rebecca practiced law for six years, assisting clients in a range of complex litigation matters in both state and federal courts and at both the trial and appellate levels. Her experience included False Claims Act litigation, managing all aspects of responding to government investigations, and conducting internal investigations for a broad range of clients.

Rebecca has made a significant commitment to pro bono work as well, arguing before the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in a Section 1983 excessive force lawsuit, and successfully negotiating for an appropriate individualized education plan for a child with multiple psychological disorders. Rebecca continues her pro bono practice in criminal defense matters as well as serves on the Associates Board for Equip for Equality in Chicago.

Before joining Foley, Rebecca worked as an in-house attorney for a Fortune 100 global health care and pharmaceutical company. She also served as a law clerk to the Honorable James B. Zagel in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Prior to committing to a career in the legal industry, Rebecca was the assistant designer for a swimwear company based in Los Angeles.
