Overview

Alicia D'Alba is a senior counsel and a business lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP, where she is a member of the firm’s Private Equity & Venture Capital Practice. Her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, and related corporate transactions. She advises clients throughout their lifecycle on general corporate law matters as well as transactions including equity financings, strategic partnerships, reorganizations and sales of businesses, both domestic and cross-border. Alicia’s practice includes counseling private equity funds in complex corporate transactions, including platform and add-on acquisitions, equity investments, sales, general corporate matters relating to portfolio companies and other significant transactions. Alicia also represents venture capital investors in connection with investments and acquisitions. Alicia regularly acts as general outside counsel for private and venture backed companies in a wide array of fields.

Prior to joining Foley, Alicia was an associate at two other national law firms, where she focused on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital and a broad range of general corporate matters.

Education

Alicia earned her law degree from Tulane Law School (J.D., 2012), where she was vice president of the class and a member of the Student Bar Association, Business Law Society, Phi Alpha Delta and Community Service Committee. During this time she received honors including the Dean’s Scholarship and the Moot Court Board.

Alicia earned her bachelor’s degree from Boston University School of Management (B.S., cum laude, 2009), where she majored in business administration, with concentrations in law, finance and entrepreneurship.

Alicia is a member of the Boston Bar Association and leads the Boston chapter of the firm’s Women’s Network.
