Overview

Jonathan Goeringer is a senior counsel with Foley & Lardner LLP, where he is a member of the firm’s Corporate Practice and Insurance & Reinsurance Industry Team. His practice focuses on all facets of an M&A transaction, including drafting, negotiating and reviewing purchase agreements, and all manner of transactional documents ancillary thereto, as well as conducting complex due diligence related to the same.

Jonathan also has extensive experience guiding insurance related entities through pre- and post-acquisition regulatory issues and requirements, as well as advising such entities as going concern outside of the M&A context, including conducting research on discrete industry issues and corresponding with insurance regulatory agencies regarding, or to resolve, such issues.

Education

Mr. Goeringer earned his law degree from St. John’s University School of Law (J.D., 2015), where he was the managing editor for the St. Johns University Sports Law Journal and served as the president of the Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Society. He received his bachelor’s degree in political science and communication from the University of Buffalo (B.A., magna cum laude, 2012).

Mr. Goeringer is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, and before the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
