Jeffrey H. Greene



Jeffrey Greene is a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP based in the firm’s New York office where he is a member of the Intellectual Property Department and Trademark Copyright & Advertising Practice.

Jeff focuses on strategic foreign and domestic brand counseling and protection including the creation, development, expansion and management of global trademark portfolios, creative brand enforcement strategies, licensing of brand assets and advertising.

Jeff also advises clients on the trademark and intellectual property aspects of mergers and acquisitions and other business transactions, agreement drafting, licensing and negotiation and transfer issues. He has extensive experience addressing all of these issues for startups/emerging companies and established companies across a variety of industries including financial services, technology, fintech, media, consumer products, retail and fashion. On the life sciences front, Jeff has experience helping pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device and other life sciences companies – from emerging companies to well-recognized brands – obtain and enforce foreign and domestic trademark rights for drug and device names and related offerings.

Jeff is an active member of the International Trademark Association, where he currently serves on the US Roundtables Project Team and the New Member Outreach Subcommittee of the Law Firm Committee. He previously served on the Leadership Development Committee, the US Programs Committee for INTA annual meetings (2010, 2008), the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee and co-chaired the Leadership Labs Subcommittee. He has also served on the Trademarks and Unfair Competition Committee of the New York City Bar Association.

Before joining Foley, Jeff was a partner at AmLaw 100 firms where he held positions including chair of the Trademark, Copyright & Advertising practice and vice chair of the Intellectual Property department.
