Edward Hammond is a partner and transactional lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. He focuses his practice in the area of commercial and industrial financing transactions, including energy and infrastructure project financing, syndicated bank loan transactions and institutional investment in long-term debt securities. He is a member of the Finance & Financial Institutions Practice and Energy and Sports Industry Teams.

In February 2014, Mr. Hammond spoke at the Infocast Wind Power Finance and Investment Summit Conference where he was also moderator for the panel, “New Options for Lower Cost of Capital.”

In 2014, Mr. Hammond was named the Milwaukee Project Finance Law "Lawyer of the Year," in 2016 he was named Milwaukee Commercial Finance Law “Lawyer of the Year”, and in 2017 he was named “Milwaukee Project Finance Law Lawyer of the Year” by Best Lawyers. From 2011 - 2016, The Legal 500 recognized Mr. Hammond for his work in the area of project finance and also for his work in energy – renewable/alternative in 2015. Mr. Hammond recently served on the board of trustees of the American College of Investment Counsel and served as president of the organization in 2011.

Mr. Hammond received his bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, from Yale University in 1978 and his J.D. degree from the University of Chicago in 1981.
