Bradley M. Krul is a senior counsel and intellectual property lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. He is a member of the firm’s Mechanical & Electromechanical Technologies Practice.
Bradley is a registered U.S. Patent Attorney who helps companies ranging from start-ups to large corporations protect their ideas and assess business risks through strategic intellectual property counseling. Bradley’s counseling practice includes a variety of activities including agreement work, patent portfolio development, drafting, filing, and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications (e.g., utility and design applications, etc.), providing risk assessments, freedom-to-operate opinions, patentability opinions, performing invalidity and non-infringement investigations, and conducting IP due diligence as part of a merger or acquisition.

In 2012, Bradley served as a summer associate with Proskauer Rose LLP in Boston. While in law school, Bradley worked as a judicial intern for The Honorable Judge Samuel Der-Yeghiayan in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois.
Prior to his legal career, Bradley worked as a product development engineer in the automotive industry with a focus on the design and development of interior control systems including center stack displays and HVAC interior control modules (e.g., LCD and LED backlighting, electronics packaging, and component design). Bradley also has experience in the defense industry working on the development of light armored tactical vehicles and mine-resistant ambush protected (MRAP) vehicles.
Education
Bradley is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire School of Law (J.D., 2013), where he was a Moot Court advisory board member and member of the Giles Sutherland Rich Patent Competition Team. He received his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan (B.S., with high distinction, 2008).
