Edwin D. Mason is a partner and business lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. He has over 30 years of experience representing clients in complex business transactions. Edwin’s practice is focused primarily in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance matters, and general corporate and business law-counseling. He is a member of the firm’s Transactional & Securities Practice and the Food & Beverage Industry Team.
While representing clients across a broad range of industries throughout his career, Edwin has focused his transactional practice in the financial services, technology, food and manufacturing industries. Within the financial services industry, he has extensive experience in acquisitions and sales of broker-dealers, insurance companies, and investment management firms.
Edwin’s clients include several Fortune 500 companies, as well as privately owned businesses and entrepreneurs. He also represents non-U.S. based clients in connection with their U.S. transactions.

Community Involvement
He has practiced in Chicago since 1980 and is involved in a number of charitable organizations. He currently serves on the board of directors of Cabrini Green Legal Aid.
