Contractual Risk Allocation in the Gulf Coast Oil Exploration and Drilling Business

Gardere Partners Edward D.(Ed) Burbach, Peter Scaff and Audrey Momanaee are scheduled to present at The University of Texas Petroleum Extension Services Introduction to Offshore Operations School ("PETEX Rig School") in Houston on July 16. The team will discuss "Contractual Risk Allocation in the Gulf Coast Oil Exploration and Drilling Business," a comparison of Texas, Louisiana and maritime law as applicable to the oil and gas industry. Mr. Burbach, who has has taught this course for two decades, will provide a comparison of Texas, Louisiana and maritime law as applicable to the oil and gas industry, with Ms. Momanaee providing an update on oilfield indemnification issues, and Mr. Scaff covering the Deepwater Horizon/BP blowout litigation.

PETEX Rig School will take place July 14 – July 18, and CLE credit is available.
