MCLE’s eighth annual Hospital and Health Care Law Conference focuses on the implications of the emerging federal and state initiatives on the health care industry and on other significant legal developments affecting provider and payor compliance and legal issues. Plenary Session—Critical Legal Issues in Massachusetts Health Reform Legislation
The program begins with a plenary session, Doing Business with the Connector, presented by Jamie Wollison Katz, Esq., General Counsel of the Commonwealth Health Insurance Connector Authority. The presentation focuses on provider and plan relationships with the Connector; and giving an update on new products and legal developments in health care reform. This session provides a “lawyers view” of the changed Massachusetts health care coverage landscape.

Next, the conference offers three concurrent workshops with succinct expert-level presentations on critical issues facing three industry segments: Hospitals and Health Systems; Physicians and Physician Organizations and Health Plans.
